Cash in paper bag stolen in Altadena strong-arm robbery

ALTADENA, Calif.

The suspect approached a man near the entrance to the Bank of America branch at 2345 Lake Avenue in Altadena on May 31 and forcefully took a paper bag from the victim. The bag contained money. The victim was pushed to the ground during the struggle.

The suspect jumped into the passenger side of a gold Nissan Versa sedan with paper license plates. The car drove southbound on Lake Ave. The incident took place at about 5:40 p.m.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing a beige baseball cap, a baggy blue collared shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

Images of the suspect from surveillance video were released Monday.
