Sycamore Canyon fire fueled by wind; nearly 300 acres charred

Winds fueled a nearly 300-acre brush fire in Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park in the Inland Empire.

The blaze began around 1 p.m. Thursday. More than 100 firefighters battled the flames. One crew member was treated at a local hospital for an unknown injury.

The fire has since been fully contained, but not before it charred 283 acres.

The cause of the blaze was unknown.
