Anthony Novetti, 29, of Ventura, was arrested Saturday. Police on foot patrol spotted the green Ford van driving east on Main Street shortly before 11 p.m. The officers jumped into action when they realized the van matched the description of a van that was stolen Oct. 10.
Officers confirmed the car was stolen and pulled Novetti over at a Circle K parking lot at Laurel and Main streets. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Ventura County Jail for driving a stolen vehicle. The van was returned to the owner.
A female passenger who was with Novetti was questioned and later released.
No one was injured during the arrest, police say.
