Disney acquires rights for future 'Indiana Jones' movies

HOLLYWOOD

Walt Disney Studios and Paramount Pictures signed a marketing and distribution agreement for the franchise Friday.

This is in addition to its current ownership rights, gained in the multibillion dollar acquisition of Lucasfilms last year.

Paramount Pictures retains distribution rights to the first four films and will receive a cut from sales of future releases.

Disney is the parent company of ABC7.
