Baby rescued on Miami freeway goes home from hospital

MIAMI

Sebastian de la Cruz was all smiles and weighs a healthy 12 pounds. The 5-month-old is thriving after undergoing surgery to remove cysts from his trachea. That was the reason he stopped breathing on the busy Dolphin Expressway on Feb. 21.

Dramatic photos from the scene showed his aunt, Pamela Rauseo, giving him CPR on the highway as other drivers stopped to help.

With the cysts gone, Sebastian's mom says he is more alert and calm. He also does a lot more playing.
