Boy, 11, offers New York subway riders 'emotional advice' for $2

NEW YORK -- A New York City boy with an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to listen to others' problems has found a way to make some extra cash by offering advice, for a fee, at a subway station.

The New York Post reports that for two bucks a session, commuters at the Brooklyn station can get 5 minutes of "emotional advice" from 11-year-old Ciro Ortiz. The pint-size counselor sits at a card table with a sign advertising his service each Sunday.

The setup calls to mind the advice stand run by "Peanuts" comic strip character Lucy.

Ciro says it's a "good way to give back and make money."

He says the most common problem for adults is adapting to change. His advice is to accept it because "life is always changing."
