1 dead in 60 Freeway multi-vehicle crash in Montebello

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A fatal multi-vehicle crash closed all westbound lanes on the 60 Freeway in Montebello on Wednesday.

Officials said the crash happened near San Gabriel Boulevard at about 4:15 p.m.

Two semi-trucks and three sedans were involved in the crash, according to authorities.

Air7 HD spotted traffic backed up to Hacienda Heights.

All lanes were reopened at about 8:40 p.m. after crews were able to remove the crashed vehicles from the roadway.
