New regulations for Airbnb will go into effect in July.
These regulations are being put in place due to the growing housing crisis and to legalize short-term rentals.
Here are some of the regulations:
-Only a primary residence can be rented out, this means the owner has to live in this residence for at least six months out of the year
-Hosts can't register or operate more than one home-sharing rental unit at a time
-Hosts cannot home-share for more then 120 days unless they have registered with the city for "extended home-sharing"
