A familiar name topped this years Airline Quality Rating report.
For the third year in a row, Virgin America led the rankings, followed by Hawaiian Airlines.
The Burlingame-based airline scored well in three of the four categories, including fewest lost bags, fewest denied boardings and fewest customer complaints. It slipped a bit in on-time rating.
The other airlines in the top five category included, Hawaiian Airlines at number two, Delta at three, Jet Blue came in fourth and Alaska Airlines at number five.
Overall, the airline industry's performance declined from 2013, which was the best year ever in overall performance.
