Firefighters said Sunday's scorching heat helped fuel the fire.

Four homes in the Whispering Pines Estates were evacuated, but no one was hurt.

Fire officials are still trying to determine what started the fire. They say the cause seems suspicious, and they're not ruling out arson.

Firefighters fought on the ground and by air to knock the flames down in about two hours.
