Woman drowns in her Hollywood Hills pool

The victim's husband discovered her body
HOLLYWOOD (CNS) Fire personnel were dispatched to the house at 2261 N. Chelan Drive, at 11:48 a.m., said Los Angeles city fire spokesperson Brian Humphrey.

The address is off Outpost Drive in a leafy canyon filled with expensive homes, just west of the Hollywood Bowl.

According to Humphrey, the woman's husband had seen her about 10 minutes prior to him getting dressed. He went to go check on her and found her in their backyard pool, wearing regular clothing and not a bathing suit.

He attempted to pull her from the pool, trying to keep her head above the water, Humphries said. Nevertheless, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Humphrey said a coroner's autopsy will determine the cause of the woman's death.
