Hockey fans riot after game 7 victory

MONTREAL The celebration turned into a riot, and five police cars were set on fire.

Sixteen people were arrested, including three minors.

The riot followed a victory by the Montreal Canadiens over the Boston Bruins in game 7 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Despite the violence, no injuries were reported.

It's not the first time a Canadiens victory has triggered violence. In 1993, the year the team won its last Stanley Cup, fans also rioted in downtown Montreal.

The Associated Press contributed to this story.
