Plea deal keeps USC student out of jail

LOS ANGELES Holly Ashcraft pleaded no contest Tuesday to child endangerment. She's expected to be sentenced next month to 30 days already served in jail, as well as five years probation. This means Holly Ashcraft will not spend any more time in jail.

Investigators accused Ashcraft of dumping her infant son in a trash bin in October of 2005. Prosecutors tried several times to try Ashcraft on murder charges, but each of those cases was dismissed.
