The new fees apply to flights that are on, or after, August 5.
Delta is also raising fees for specialty items like surfboards, and it's all part of a plan to help offset high fuel prices.

The airline is now going to double its charge for checking a second bag on a domestic flight. The current cost is $25, but now it's $50 for an extra bag.
