Eat veggies for stronger bones

The reason is fruits and veggies reduce excess acid production in the body.

Excess acid can lead to calcium excretion and bone resorption. Resorption is when bone is broken down to release minerals such as calcium into the blood.

Study participants had less bone resorption when they ate more produce. Foods that can cause excess acid production are protein and grains.
