Cab driver fatally shot near Watts

SOUTH LOS ANGELES Deputies were responding to reports of a traffic accident, around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, when they found the wounded cab driver on a sidewalk, at Alameda Street and Tweedy Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

A boy who was in the back seat of the cab was detained for questioning. His age has not been revealed. Two handguns were found in the cab. Investigators say it's not clear if the taxi was involved in the reported traffic accident.
