Barricaded man found dead after standoff

HIGHLAND PARK, Calif. Police received went to the house just after 5 a.m. to question the man in connection with an undisclosed crime, but the man refused to surrender.

After a standoff with SWAT, the man was found dead at about 10 a.m. His name has not been released.

No injuries have been reported, and the suspect was reportedly alone in the residence.

Figueroa Street was closed in the area for police activity.
