Cleaning woman gets $122,000 IRS refund

ARVADA, Co. Laura Schultz, who works as a house cleaner, said she expected to owe the IRS money. But instead, they sent her a refund for $122,783 (and 51 cents).

"I didn't feel I was owed that much money, so I called the IRS," said Schultz. "They told me to void it."

The IRS told her that if she had cashed the check, and they had found out about the mistake, she would have had to pay back the money plus interest.
