Lack of sleep causes lapse in snap decisions

LOS ANGELES Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin examined the effect of sleep deprivation on military cadets.

The study found that even moderate sleep deprivation can cause an overall immediate lapse in the thought processes required to make instantaneous, gut-feeling decisions.
