ICE seizes one-of-a-kind sports car in O.C.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents served a search warrant at a San Juan Capistrano car showroom and took possession of a 1994 Cizeta V16.

The $700,000 car is one of fewer than a dozen produced by automotive engineer Claudio Zampoli.

The car was seized on Monday after authorities said Zampoli broke custom laws when he brought the car into the U.S. in 2001 and claimed the car was worth $125,000.

Investigators also said the car doesn't meet state environmental or safety standards.
