Airport employees found the pooch hiding under a forklift near the cargo area but the dog managed to run away.
After about an hour, employees were finally able to capture the dog and re-unite it with its owner.
Dog gets loose, wanders around Miami airport
MIAMI According to authorities, a passenger and her dog arrived at Miami International Airport from Guayaquil, Ecuador on American Airlines flight #958 at around 4:30 p.m. The dog somehow escaped from its container, that was not sturdy enough, and it ran across airport property.
