Moderate wine drinkers have healthier hearts

France is known for its appreciation of wine. Now, a new medical study found that people who drink moderately have healthier hearts, exercise more and have higher incomes. The study also shows that they are less likely to be depressed than heavy drinkers and those who abstain from drinking.

Other factors may play a role in the overall health of the research subjects. They say those who drink moderately tend to have higher social status and suffer from less stress.

The study is published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
