During the 24-hour surgery, surgeons lifted an entire face, including jaw, nose, cheekbones, muscles, teeth and eyelids, and placed it masklike onto the man.
Oscar's face was severely injured in a shooting accident. He had nine operations before being considered for the transplant.
He'll need 18 months of physical therapy, but is expected to regain 90 percent of his facial functions.
