Investigators said the driver was not cited because police suspected that the child rode in front of the truck.
The collision and death were still under investigation Friday.

BELL GARDENS, Calif. Police say Anthony Rangel of Bell Gardens was riding west on Loveland Street and the truck was moving north on Perry Street when the two collided Thursday afternoon. Fire officials said the boy, who's name has not yet been released, died before paramedics reached the scene.
