Woman foils attempted Riverside bank robbery

RIVERSIDE, Calif. /*Riverside*/ police received a call that three armed men were lingering outside of the Premier Services Bank at 3736 Arlington Ave. Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

As the three men approached the bank on foot, one suspect saw a woman sitting in her car about to flee the bank's parking lot. The suspect, armed with a rifle, allegedly fired one round at the vehicle and then dropped his weapon.

The woman retaliated by backing up her car and striking the fleeing suspect. He was last seen running east on Arlington Avenue.

The two other suspects made their getaway in an older burgundy colored, mid-sized vehicle that had been parked nearby, according to a police statement.
