Do your genes affect how fast you get drunk?

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. Experts at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill have identified a gene that makes the brain especially sensitive to alcohol.

The study shows 10 to 20 percent of the population carries a version of the gene.

Researchers say the gene carries a blueprint for an enzyme known to be involved in metabolizing ethanol alcohol, as well as other molecules like the pain reliever acetaminophen.
