Officers found the two outside of a home in the 47100 block of Palm View Street around 1 a.m. The deceased man was found in the front yard of the house and the wounded man was found on the street in front of the house, officials said.
The injured man was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs and was believed to be in critical condition.
Indio police were investigating the shooting.
