Bomb house man confesses to 3 bank robberies

December 1, 2010 12:00:00 AM PST
The man accused of running a bomb factory in his Escondido house, confessed to robbing three banks, according to a search warrant just released. George Jakubec, 54, is now pleading not guilty to bank robbery and bomb-making charges.

The new document sheds no light on his motive for stockpiling highly volatile explosives.

The materials are so dangerous, they'll be destroyed by burning the house down as early as next week.

Among the items seized from the home were a grenade mold, handguns, four wigs and two molds of human faces.
