A subpoena has been issued for Ted Williams, an Ohio homeless man who encountered instant fame when video showing off his radio voice hit YouTube.com.

L.A. County Sheriff's deputies say Williams was a passenger in the car of a woman accused of drug charges in Ohio, and is being called to testify in the case.

A hearing was apparently put off last week because Williams wasn't in Ohio. He was in New York doing media interviews.

Williams was briefly detained by police in Los Angeles this week after a verbal altercation with his daughter, but no charges were filed.
