The nine-year courtship of the soon-to-be royal couple is the subject of an upcoming made-for-TV movie.

"William and Kate" is slated to premiere on Lifetime Television on Monday, April 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

It stars New Zealand actor Nico Evers-Swindell as Prince William, British actress Camilla Luddington as Kate Middleton and Ben Cross as Prince Charles.

The story will chronicle the couple's first meeting at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and follow the ups and downs of their relationship.

William and Middleton are set to marry at Westminister Abbey in London on April 29.
