Orange County judge allegedly waived fines for friends, family

SANTA ANA, Calif.

The state Commission on Judicial Performance made the allegations last week against Superior Court Judge Richard W. Stanford Jr.

The 26-year court veteran allegedly transferred the cases of people he knew into his courtroom and then tossed out the fines and fees.

Judge Stanford remains on the bench in Fullerton, pending a July hearing.
