If you suffer from allergies, you could be at risk of developing more than just itchy eyes and a runny nose. There may be a connection between allergies and your mood.

Researchers suggest that people with allergies are at double the risk for depression. If the symptoms are serious enough to see an allergist, the risk for depression actually triples.

Experts do not believe allergies cause clinical depression. They say the symptoms of depression may be aggravated by a lack of sleep and allergy medication.
