Vuvuzela horns may spread airborne illness

May 25, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
Those loud horns we heard every game during last year's World Cup may actually be bad for your health.

A new study showed one person blowing a vuvuzela can infect many others with airborne illness like the flu or tuberculosis.

Researchers said the instrument creates a shower of saliva similar to a sneeze.

Organizers of the 2012 Olympics in London are considering banning them from the games.
