General Motors said the company is willing to buy back Chevy Volts from owners who are concerned about possible battery fires.
GM's CEO insists the electric vehicles are safe, but wants to keep customers happy.
The federal government is investigating fires that broke out in Volts after side-impact crash tests.
GM says if necessary, it will recall and repair the more than 6,000 Volts in the U.S. once regulators figure out what caused the fires.
