A Washington state military base is on lockdown for the fifth straight day after the theft of sensitive military equipment.

About 100 soldiers from the 4th Stryker Brigade are stuck inside the gates of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The lockdown began Wednesday and will continue until the investigation has concluded.

Over the holidays, someone stole hundreds of pieces of weapon attachments such as rifle scopes and night vision gear.

Some soldiers have been venting on Facebook that the lockdown caught them by surprise.
