The fire occurred at Creekside Elementary School in the 13000 block of Heacock Street.
Fire officials said one classroom in an eight-unit building sustained major fire damage, while two adjacent rooms have moderate smoke damage.
When authorities arrived at the school, they spotted two boys running away from the scene. One juvenile suspect was caught. The other one got away.
No injuries were reported.
