Authorities say three men wearing dark hooded sweatshirts stormed into the Zales jewelry store in the Westside Pavilion Mall at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Several shoppers were inside the store at the time.
Armed with hammers, the suspects went straight to the counter with high-end items, smashed the glass and made off with about $130,000 worth of jewelry.
Witnesses told police the suspects then ran into a car parked in the mall's parking structure. One of the suspects was seen jumping into the car's trunk before fleeing the scene.
A vehicle description was not available.
