'Dark Shadows' actress Eva Green talks kooky character, love scene

LOS ANGELES

"We really kind of got on. We met three times before I got the role, and he asked me what I thought about the character, and we just got on," said Green. "It was a miracle I got the part. I have to pinch myself every day, I'm so happy."

Green's character is obsessed with Johnny Depp's Barnabus Collins. If she can't have him, no one will.

"I don't know how he could guess that I could maybe be so cuckoo," she said.

And she does end up having him in quite possibly one of the weirdest love scenes seen on film for quite some time.

"Yeah, and it's the first sex scene in a Tim Burton film so, yeah, here we go. Very proud!" said Green.

Besides the vampire/witch sex scene, Green's character also gets an interesting look later in the film that's not being given away in the clips. To achieve it involved the magic of special effects.

"For the end, I wore green and blue dots so I looked a bit like a Smurf who had a disease or something," said Green.

"Dark Shadows" is rated PG-13.
