The outage began about 4 p.m. Saturday and power was restored around 2 p.m. Sunday. Crews worked around the clock to fix the problem.
SCE handed out free ice and water at Palm View Park in West Covina until 4 p.m. to help customers cope with the late summer heat wave and lack of power.
SCE said the source of the outage was at a substation at Puente and Vincent avenues in West Covina.
