Halle Berry's ex, fiancé fight on Thanksgiving

LOS ANGELES

Authorities responded to the 1100 block of North Doheny Drive just after 10 a.m. and transported Aubry to Cedars Sinai Medical Center. According to an LAPD source, Aubry suffered fractured ribs and bruising to his face.

While it's unclear what started the altercation, a police source said Berry's fiancé, French film actor Olivier Martinez, "apparently gave back more than Gabriel dished out." Martinez injured his hand and neck, but it wasn't immediately clear if the 46-year-old required medical attention.

The actress and Aubry are currently in a custody battle over their daughter, Nahla. A judge recently ruled that Berry could not move to France permanently with her child.

According to LAPD sources, Aubry came to Berry's house to drop off their 4-year-old daughter when Aubry and Martinez got into a fight. Berry witnessed the beginning of the fight when Aubry pushed Martinez, and then ran to call 911, a source said. Nahla did not witness the fight.

Aubry has been booked for misdemeanor battery, police said. He was released at 6:25 p.m. after posting $20,000 bond. He was expected to appear in court on Dec. 13.

After news of the confrontation, a judge issued an emergency protective order against Aubry to protect Berry, Nahla and Martinez. Aubry was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from them. The order will be valid until Dec. 3.
