A search is under way for a sexual predator who attacked a woman on the 1100 block of West 17th Street in Santa Ana.

Police released a sketch of the suspect. Authorities say he sexually assaulted the woman in her driveway as she got out of her car on Jan. 20. Police say he struck the woman in the face, shoved her back into her car, held her down and tore off her clothes.

The victim fought the suspect off. Hearing her screams, the woman's daughter came out to help. That's when the suspect took off on a skateboard.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 15 to 20 years old with a thin build. He is about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with light acne on his skin. Witnesses say he had a long, black ponytail that reached the middle of his back and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and fitted black jeans.

If you have any information that can help investigators track him down, you're urged to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
