Riverside sheriff's deputies responded to the home on Todd Drive around 8:30 p.m.
Homicide detectives were shortly called in and set up a mobile command post.
The dead woman was reportedly found by her roommate. Neighbors say the building is a group home.
Investigators have not released any information about how the woman died.
