Michael Jackson doctor, Conrad Murray, to appeal conviction

LOS ANGELES

Jackson was set to perform 50 shows in London for AEG Live, but he died June 25, 2009, of acute propofol intoxication in Los Angeles while rehearsing for the concert series. A jury convicted Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter in 2011.

CNN is reporting it obtained parts of a 300-page document that the attorney will use to try to clear Murray's name. That document reportedly says prosecutors didn't prove Jackson was hooked up to an IV drip of the drug that killed him.

The defense claimed Jackson administered the deadly dosage himself while Murray was away.

Murray is currently serving a four-year sentence in the Los Angeles County Men's Jail.
