The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Partridge Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
According to police, the victim was walking his Golden Retriever at the time of the attack. He suffered a minor injury to his hand. His dog was also hurt.
The pit bull was taken to animal control following the attack.
The pit bull owner will be charged for vicious dog violation.
