The thunderstorm roared through Downey, bringing with it intense rain that quickly overwhelmed storm drains. It caused minor flooding in several intersections.
People Eyewitness News spoke with said there has not been much rain at all this year, so this storm was welcome.High pressure will start building over Northern California on Saturday, which means we'll be seeing a lot more sunshine across Southern California, said Raines. Saturday's highs will be in the upper-70s in the Los Angeles area, Orange County, valleys and Inland Empire, mid-60s in the High Desert and upper-40s in the local mountains.
