Hit-and-run driver slams into car, pushes it into North Hills wash

NORTH HILLS, LOS ANGELES

Police say the driver of a red Ford Explorer took off after crashing into a car Thursday night, sending it into a wash near Parthenia Street and Noble Avenue.

There were four people inside that car - two adults and two children. One of the children sustained minor injuries.

Police caught up with the suspect at his home a short time later, thanks to a Good Samaritan who had his license plate number.

The suspect was arrested for felony hit-and-run as well as driving under the influence. He was booked in to Van Nuys Jail.
