David Cassidy, the 1970s teen heartthrob from the hit TV show "The Partridge Family," has been arrested for drinking and driving.

Cassidy was pulled over Friday night near Los Angeles International Airport.

Police say he was making an illegal right turn against a red light.

Authorities say when the 63-year-old was taken into custody, the officer smelled alcohol in the rental car.

Cassidy spent the night in jail and was released Saturday morning on $15,000 bail. He's scheduled to appear in court Feb. 5.

This isn't the first drunk driving run-in for Cassidy. He was arrested last August for driving under the influence in upstate New York. He also has a 2001 conviction for driving under the influence in Florida, his current state of residence.
