Jimmy Kimmel announces all-star roster for post-Oscar show

LOS ANGELES

This year's "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After The Oscars" will include appearances by Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Spacey, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Martin Scorsese, Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz, Ben Kingsley, Mandy Patinkin, Abbie Cornish, Barkhad Abdi, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Seth Rogen, Morgan Freeman, Andy Garcia, Adam Driver, Queen Latifah, Gary Oldman, Anjelica Huston and more.

With several years of memorable post-Oscar shows, memorable guests, and even more memorable sketches, Kimmel says he now gets a lot more "yeses" to his requests to be on the special than he did in the early years.

"Tom Hanks said, 'The best reviews of my career were for this 'Toddlers & Tiaras' parody we did,'" said Kimmel. "Samuel Jackson...we kind of begged him last year to do this 'Movie: The Movie' bit with us. And then this year, his people were like, 'Hey, do you want Sam?' We were like, 'Yes!' We try not to bother them by asking them year after year, but if they offer themselves, we'll definitely take them up on it."

Kimmel's intentions for this annual Oscar night special are pure: he simply loves movies.

"Movies are the greatest things there are. You go and see 'Gravity' and Sandra Bullock is floating around in her underpants. How do you beat that?" said Kimmel.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live: After The Oscars" airs Sunday at 10 p.m. PT on ABC7.
