AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- Three men held employees and customers, including a 6-year-old boy and his father, at gunpoint Sunday during a pawn shop robbery in Azusa.
The robbery was reported at about 2:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Gladstone Street. The suspects allegedly entered the store armed with guns and ordered employees to lie face down on the floor.
One employee was kicked in the face, which resulted in a broken nose.
In the middle of the robbery, a father and son entered the pawn shop unaware of the potential danger.
"He pointed it (the gun) at me, and I told him right away, 'I have my son here. Six years old,' and he told us to get on the ground," said Armando, who did not want to give his last name.
"I kept on telling him (my son) it's just a game. They're just playing," he said.
The men stole handguns, rifles, jewelry and the boy's iPod. They fled east on Gladstone Street in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Saturn.
All three were described as about 25 years old, 6 feet tall with athletic builds.
