Blind dog named Dylan up for adoption at West Valley Animal Shelter

CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Name a dog that doesn't love to play fetch -- you can keep Dylan off the list. The Labrador Retriever Shepherd mix can bring the ball back with the best of them.

But he has one up on the rest of his pals at the West Valley Animal Shelter: Dylan is blind.

"Doesn't seem to affect him. He's just a happy fun loving dog who loves life," said Shawn Marin of the West Valley Animal Shelter.

The vet believes Dylan suffers from a disease that took his vision and clouded his sight, so he relies on his ears and nose to play.

"Personally, I wouldn't have been able to adapt if that were me. He's adapted quite well," said Marin.

Like other dogs, Dylan loves a good belly rub. He also listens to commands. At 6 years old, he's a sleek, handsome dog with amazing personality and a winning smile, to boot. What he can't see with his eyes, he does with his heart.
